For some reason, even though I don't really have any feelings personally about the pope one way or another, I felt saddened when the pope died.
I finally realized last night that I feel bad for all the people who loved him so much. It just affects so many people. So, I am sad for the people who are truly mourning. Those who truly adored him.

okay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.
i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.
it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.
also, I would call the hotel and find out how many beds are in that particular room where your husband is staying.
btw...if he knew that the other two were most likely going to hook up, then please tell me WHY he didn't have an alternative sleeping arrangement plan, or why he didn't just get another room...

He was telling me before the trip that he suspected "other guy and other girl" had something going on and he was reluctant to go because he thought whole situation would be awkward if the other couple admitted it.
Sounds to me like he's setting up the lie for you right there. If you call and she answers he already has the perfect excuse. You sure this little arrangement wasn't "pre" arranged?
He has a lot of time to come up with some good excuses before he gets home. He better be begging for your forgiveness.

An elder and his wife invited my friend and I over to their house under the false pretense that we would have dinner and play ping pong in their basement.
After dinner, when the ping pong fun was beginning...their true agenda was revealed. They invited us over for an inquisition about being seen around town with worldly? people. They really gave us the third degree. Then, when we denied everything...they told our parents anyway! What was the point of the whole charade? I still don't get it.
I just wanted to play ping pong. What a rip.
The whole debacle was just so unkind and unloving.

i hadn't heard from my parents since last summer after 2 fiery letters and me da'ing myself.
they even mentioned to my df'd sis how i "went apostate".

My parents are the same way...."come back to Jehovah and we'll be a family again" ...blah blah blah.
But when you say you have no family, just remember you do have a family that loves you for you! US! And we won't make you go to no steeeenkin' meetings! So try not to be too sad. I know how much it sucks, though.
